On a mission to inspire and support the future generation of leaders
Local business leaders Dennis Cooper and Claire Garvie recognized a need for high school graduates to have stronger resumes and be better prepared for interview situations. At the same time, Novato Unified School District had been looking for new ways to inform and inspire students about different career options, and to provide them with access to mentors and job shadowing opportunities.
A conversation between the NUSD Superintendent and our founders got us all excited about the possibilities of connecting Novato’s business and trade professionals with students.
Founded in 2019, Inspiration Initiative is a not-for-profit venture that is currently working with the award-winning leadership team at Marin Oaks High School, Novato.
